I met her at a science fiction convention in Boston when she had just announced her run for congress. Had dinner with her there, even. I started with no priors on her — had never heard of her. Stayed in touch by email for a short while, but woke up soon enough to her absolute flakiness. 1/2
I was amazed to find out how little she new about the electoral process. She not only had never been to a state Democratic Party convention, she didn't even know that such a thing existed. Oy. 2/2
