Back from a long weekend home visiting friends. Didn’t have time to read much but I did pop into JC’s Comics & More in Toledo, OH and pick up this classic John Byrne poster. The owner Jim even gave me my old employee discount, more than 30+ years since I last worked there. 😂

My top shelf Friday book is a high grade copy of this book. I have a few other copies as well with one signed (in the manner of the day, inside under the indicia). It’s hard to stress how important the New Mutants were to me. It was “my” X-Men series.

With all the comic news yesterday I feel like this got ignored. Larry Hama has been struggling with medical problems and, from what I’ve gathered, still really depends on gigs to survive financially. His ability to draw is being taken away. He’s a living legend and badass. Deserves better.
