For Disability Pride Month, one thing I'd love abled bodied people to figure out is how to speak to someone with chronic health issues without implying that if they themselves had the disabled person's health conditions, they would end it all. I promise you life goes on- even with health issues.

Y'all, it's ok to take a single holiday to enjoy yourself. Yeah, the world is dire and a lot is at stake, but you ain't gonna make a difference in that by stressing yourself over things you can't change. All you'll do is diminish your ability to act when the time comes that you need to.

Picked this up yesterday on a whim, and I’m glad that I did. Jason Aaron wrote a very fun, humorous, and loving tribute to Scrooge McDuck, beautifully illustrated by some great artists. A fantastic homage to Carl Barks and Don Rosa and all who came before. Precisely what I needed for morale.

Pretty much every move I’ve ever made in comics since age 25 has been inspired by the 70-year-olds I saw in comic con Artist Alleys, cranking out sketches of characters they created but don’t own, to pay their doctor bills and nursing home fees.

I honestly think a lot of people have, as a trauma response, suppressed the memory of what living under Trump felt like every single damn day (understandable), and this Supreme Court ruling yanked the stitches right out of that wound.
