I quit writing with some goal of getting published. I realized I actually don't care really at all about that. It's a soothing and expressive activity and that's all the reason I need to write. Maybe someday I'll bother to send stuff out. If I don't, or don't get published, that's fine. 🤷♀️
Sometimes I'll be really dwelling on something, and a song I haven't listened to in quite a while will get stuck in my head. And then twenty minutes later I'll realize "the lyrics apply EXACTLY to this situation". The subconscious, and human brain in general, are absolutely amazing!
