Just a little info for anyone who cares. The whole female mantid eating the male, is blown out of proportion. Some species of mantid do engage in sexual cannibalism, but it only happens about 60% of the time and it is a common occurs amongst other arthropods too. 🕷️🦗🦂+

The other 40% either dodge rolled, parried, or were naturally resistant to slash damage. Just be ready.
