💙📚 Hey Booksky, Talabi's work is downpriced right now, check your favorite ebook retailers. 👇 Shigidi and The Brass Head Of Obalufon and the short-story collection Convergence Problems are on my TBR pile.
Still one of the best recommendations I've ever gotten for my novel.

Hey people travelling for summer, Brittlepaper recommends my collection CONVERGENCE PROBLEMS for your beach read. brittlepaper.com/2024/06/35-a... Unsurprisingly, I agree. You can take breaks between each story and go into the water. Then come out and read a new one in the sun. Fun! 🏖️ ☀️ 📖

This book is one of my top 3 reads of the year, and if you haven’t read it yet, not taking advantage of this opportunity to do so could be construed by those who love you as self-harm. Be good to yourself, you deserve this.
Oh hey! The ebook of my BSFA, Nebula, Locus, Crawford, and Nommo award nominated novel is on sale for just $2.99. Grab it if you like a spicy, character-driven, postcolonial, anticapitalist, African fantasy heist adventure with gods, magic and monsters.😉📗🌍 astrapublishinghouse.com/product/shig...

"self-hating nightmare gods are indeed the best protagonists" - William Shakespeare (2022)
I'm only 50 pages in and it's already one of my favourite books 🙌 Who doesn't want a self-hating nightmare god as a protagonist?!

Vespertine (My Crimson Bride) is such a great song. Probably one of my favorite Kamelot songs, maybe even top 3 (and thats saying a lot because I love a lot of Kamelot's songs). Of course its on my official SHIGIDI soundtrack. I was listening to a lot when I wrote that book.
Avatar
The more I listen to it, the more I like Kamelot's "The Awakening". Heard it last year and it sounded like basic Kamelot doing the same old stuff, but on repeated listening, its actually got a bunch of bangers.

For what it worth, I've not yet met any literary fiction writer who is actually *good* that blindly looks down on genre fiction as a whole. But then again most of the lit fic authors I know are African and genre elements have always been a feature of literature in many parts of the continent.

Few things annoy me more than when companies list the places they operate in or people mention a bunch of places they are travelling to, and then after mentioning a bunch of countries, just throw in "and Africa"
