That was invented by the press, as in CNN's commentary, for instance. www.cnn.com/interactive/... But it's false when CNN says abortion is only mentioned once. The whole statement, as Serwer points out in his Atlantic piece...
...includes the far more radical statement about the absolute civil rights of the fetus, with a phony reference to the 14th amendment, in the highlighted matter. The journalists seem not to have noticed this at all.
Jeet Heer was spreading this stupid canard on the radio this morning.
Thanks Sulliview for standing up for the truth www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Ironically, the 14th Amendment is the only place in the Constitution where birth and personhood are mentioned, and it's made clear that you can't be a US person unless you've been born:
I'm willing to believe Trump doesn't know anything about anything. In any event he won't be in charge of another Trump administration; they will, just like last time, while he watches TV and gobbles hamberders.
Only much more so, because they've learned a lot about how it's done.
"gift cards, lunches, plaques, books, framed photos, and the like" such as $13,000 checks, $267,230 RVs, $500,000 yacht trips to Bali... Who would begrudge him a little lagniappe for a job well done?
...they aren't just meant for Jews, but also Righteous Gentiles. The Noahide Laws aren't set forth in the canonical Bible, only the Talmud, but I think Louisiana should consider them
Here's a pretty problematic bit of Deuteronomy, about how God stole all the Philistines' stuff to give the Hebrews--not just the land, but the houses and wells and vineyards and olive groves.
...but especially DEI stuff, watching out for the poor and being nice to the deaf and blind, not stealing your employees' wages; and being decent when you have a lawsuit, not committing slander, and not seeking vengeance
This is the bullshit factor really well exemplified. Trump making up numbers because he can't be bothered to ask his minions for workable ones www.editorialboard.com/trumps-habit...
Detail I hadn't heard. It's possible, even likely, that by the end Israel will have killed more of the hostages than Hamas has (excluding the victims of murder on October 7)
Just realized something: I know why Trump keeps baselessly claiming "they" are "sending" mental patients across the Mexican border. It's because he heard that migrants are

seeking asylums.
Never mind!
