Here's the latest episode of my iHeartRadio/Cool Zone Media show Better Offline - Robert Evans and I sit down with Nik Suresh, author of "I Will F**king Piledrive You If You Mention AI Again," to talk about how much grifters love AI.

love the drive by hate of jack welch… i still think there’s a fascinating book to be written about him. he is in a way the prototype of modern grifter but at scale
Jack Welch is one of late 20th century America's most under the radar villians. It's difficult to overstate the amount of damage he did and continues to do.
loved this episode. the three of you are really great together and you should have Robert and Nik on every few episodes just to shoot the shit bc I can listen to that for hours tbh
Hell yeah. Great post from a great blog. I've been devouring his writing since coming into contact with it twice in the last 6 months or so. The guy really puts a fine point on so much of what's wrong with the tech industry today, above and beyond just AI
When you guys mentioned what Sam Altman has been saying about physics, I imagined that the guy is generating his bullshit comments with Chat GPT and all of a sudden a lot of things made a lot more sense to me.
This was a really good episode, interesting and informative.
I was thinking about it last evening and was wondering if and how the rise of the "tech grifter" might overlap with some of David Graeber's ideas on "bullshit jobs". Particularly in the roles of "goon" and perhaps "duct taper".
When Nik mentioned people who can put on the trappings of success my immediate thought was Elizabeth Holmes. Although unlike most of these grifters she actually faced some consequences.
I don't know if it's on the host, or if it's in my app, but anything cool zone media skips around or cuts things off. My episode cut off at 48 minutes in the middle of you speaking and that's all that's in the episode for me.
