mandatory univ. training modules are not a waste of time at all. I've learned a lot of useful life lessons from it.

I assume that all of these things have happened, so view our training as a sort of window into the murky depth of a university’s soul.

When I completed safety training at a mine site the teacher began with “everything on this list has happened” & then told us no fistfights, no stealing, no making threats, no bringing weapons to work - for that he specified “that means no knives, guns, or brass knuckles.”

Do you guys also get the training videos? One year, we had some that were absolutely lit! This one about recognizing if a coworker was compromised had serious plot and acting.

The budget of public universities in Texas do not extend to entertaining videos. We’re lucky if we get PowerPoint slides.

We get PowerPoint slides with a somnolent voice track

Yeah, that's what we have now with all sorts of stock images, like a ninja at a computer representing possible threats to our company secrets.

I would like to make an aggie joke here, but I work in corporate America and we get the same trainings, so… no

When you have to explain to HR that the training *they* just made you take says not only do *they* have to have a Title IX coordinator but you are required to know who that is....
