There are plenty of valid critiques we can have for our current president, but ableism isn’t it and should be rejected by all of us.
It’s shameful that the media has been pushing out deeply ableist takes since the debate.
Product design changes are either won through years of advocacy and research or made immediately when some guy on the board says he wants the buttons to be red instead of blue.
Therapist: let’s imagine a creature that can help comfort you. What comes to mind?
Me: Hmm…I think it is big and fuzzy.
Therapist: Great start go on
Me: He is green, has antennae and a big belly he shakes and…
Therapist: wait…are you describing the Philly Phanatic?
Me: I just want to hug him
Apparently some loser tech bros are celebrating the new reduction in regulation that came out of SCOTUS.
Which, by the way, a terrible ruling among many terrible rulings
But reminder if your product is used outside of the U.S. you still got regulations to deal with, ya dorks.
“Hey [name], I’m recruiting for a contract role as my partner and you look like a great fit. This is an in person only position with a 8 hours per week, the role may turn into a full time position. Send me your resume if you’re interested” 😎
Sometimes I worry I’m not posting online enough to benefit my career these days.
But most of the time, I feel happier for the peace that comes away from social media.
I don’t think product design has to be so damn hard, we just stopped caring what people wanted.
Eagerly waiting for the consequences of current culture of designing for no one to take effect.
I think thought leadership is an active threat to truth.
"Thought leaders" and "influencers just say whatever they want without any regard for the actual reality, and suddenly, everyone gathers around their point like it's correct.
This is a huge problem in tech in particular.
Have I recently complained about how airports are a sensory nightmare? I’m sure I have but I am still correct.
Methods I tend to use to reduce that are hard to use in these contexts because I have to be VERY aware of my surroundings
Traveling while having Celiac Disease is incredibly stressful. Heck, it seems like traveling with many disabilities is stressful.
There's so much I would change if I could.
There’s a few reasons I don’t like posting on LinkedIn. One of which is that people will send me a bunch of messages after every post asking me to do things.
I don’t mean to be rude I just can’t keep up with all that.

Hi, I’m an accessibility and inclusive designer. My greatest hits include:
- Yes it’s complaint but it still sucks
- Do your damn job

- Sorry I’m already triple booked
And…
Hi, I'm an educator. My greatest hits include:
- That's fine, we'll try it again.
- No, but let's talk about why
- Yes, that was already due
- I can't extend any further
- Sure, I'll explain it again
and...
- I'm sorry, I've already turned in grades
It’s a damn shame that search engines let accessibility overlay companies buy space higher up than credible/relevant accessibility sources.
I shouldn’t have an overlay show up when I search “WCAG” related terms.
@remapradio.bsky.social I totally volunteer to help make your website accessible by design, related to your Twitch stream.
Big fan, would do that for free 👀
I have this idea for something...I have celiac disease, and I realized that one of the most difficult things I deal with is a lack of clarity on which items contain gluten, especially in other languages.
What if we had universally accepted allergen icons used on all prepacked items?
