Novavax has indicated they could have their "fall" booster ready as early as late July (iirc) if the FDA doesn't slow them down with approving it for use. I don't think I've seen the mRNA ones publicly suggest a timeframe yet.

Yeah. With the current Novavax formulation the last available vials expired at the end of May. So now it's a waiting period for the new updated version to become available.

This was my question too, I might be able to get it there cause no way the Netherlands will get it, perhaps for 5 very old people and certainly not for kids. Vaccinating kids against covid in NL is a big no.

The fall is late. It will spread in schools once the new year starts. My wife got it last year that way.

yeah, someone in the public comment period was saying exactly that — kids go back to school in august etc and this likely won’t be available till september at the earliest

It also is only moderately effective at stopping spread for more than a few months-weird that CDC won't emphasize the kinds of source control that they recommend & the white house uses(ventilation, respirators, UV)-I'd be surprised if they aren't installed in tonight's debate studio

If I was a teacher I’d have an air purifier in my classroom. It’s not perfect but every little bit helps.

I had an air purifier, mask with n95 and still ended up with Covid last fall. Parents sent their kids on day 6 when they were still sick and testing positive, but it isn’t against CDC anymore so 🤷‍♀️

Plus kids can be asymptomatic. People don’t test their kids either.

Nothing is perfect, so we just do what we can.

It’s both. There is an interesting phenomenon where covid and the vaxx both cause similar symptoms except usually more often with covid than with the vaxx
