right. the president could order troops to suppress protesters using live fire and the supreme court would extend that absolute immunity

No question that a second Trump administration orders officers to open fire on protestors and some of them comply. What happens next is anyone's guess, but that feels like a certainty.

Newsflash. Trump did. He also ordered ICE to use all means (deadly force) to round up migrants in 2017
