In 2014 I said, “in 10 years YouTube could be an accredited university.” How did we go from that optimistic future to “Google Search is useless now, Twitter is dead, YouTube and AdBlock are in an arms race, and Facebook is clogged with bots.”

Starting to think that Sol and co. were given a months-long mission studying grass because they’re really bad at their jobs. The last episode of the Acolyte was a trainwreck of characters making silly decisions… Starting with building a base where the reactor explodes if a door panel gets too hot.

If you think "working class" is white male auto workers who live in the suburbs, and not multiracial Starbucks baristas, Amazon warehouse workers, and Wal-Mart greeters of all genders, you are perpetuating a revanchist racist myth, the reality of which died with Reagan.

All I’m saying is the Dems calling for Biden to step down were awfully quiet when he ran unopposed in the Primaries. As much as I dislike Biden, holding a convention now sounds like a great way to implode the party and hand the country to the Right.

Link up with and support the people organizing and providing these things in your community now. Support migrants in your community, people without housing in your community, demand and create public spaces, support your library, etc. don’t accept the bare minimum it’s not working.

Ok, I actually love how tonight’s Acolyte episode suggests Vader’s helmet had a purpose beyond just life support, and Kylo Ren’s was more than an edgy fashion statement. There are so many cool ideas being introduced in this show… I just wish the writing was a little more polished.

Green Knight came out before Elden Ring happened but that movie is basically as close to Elden Ring as you can kinda get in terms of vibes (or Souls games, in general)(as I stated in my Letterboxd review back then)

Without even getting into the racial or Israel/Gaza side of it, bottom line is Democrats will spend $23 million to oust a young progressive in “the most expensive Primary ever” and then have the gall to ask, “why are we losing the youth vote?”

I feel like MUDs could make one hell of a comeback right now. As advanced as VTTs and proc-gen tools are getting, it sounds like we’re already halfway there.

IDK just kinda feels like we’re on the cusp of a new dark age of disinformation and a global shift towards authoritarianism just in time for the next wave of climate disasters. Does voting for the status quo make it a tumble instead of a nose dive? Or is it just dragging it out?

I don’t understand the “Not voting for Biden as an act of protest” crowd and I genuinely want to. I see millions of lives at stake in Gaza, Europe, Taiwan, and the US southern border. To me not voting says “I’m ok risking a much worse future so I don’t have to feel complicit in the current evil.”

Since people are getting hype for the new Dragon Age, remember: The only real flaw of the Anders romance is that he goes behind your back to blow up the fantasy pope instead of making it a date activity.

Finished Jedi Survivor. I managed to avoid any spoilers. I was shipping Cal and Bode kinda fiercely… … So, yeah. Oof.

Gear shouldn't have levels. Ever. Upgrades are fine - but a level 21 sword vs. a level 23 sword? Forget it. Gear choices should be about mechanics, aesthetic, and play style - not a game of inches where you're wearing a clown costume because it's got 2% better armor than your last ugly outfit.

The Star Wars toxic fandom does suck because I honestly like Star Wars a lot but I like it wayyyy less because of how toxic and disgusting so many of the fans are about it

You know, I think the worst development in all of Star Wars was making the Jedi Order into emotionless space cops instead of genuine “Guardians of Peace and Justice” as described by Obi-Wan in the OT. Jedi are almost always portrayed as enforcers of the status quo, not an actual force for good…

Me: "It's such a terrible idea for studios to completely change game engines in the middle of development, why would anyone do that?" Also me: *switches to GODOT*
