My friend asked me, “wouldn’t you rather be in traffic by an EV than a gas car?” The hood of this EV SUV:

Someone needs to remind the @bostonglobe.bsky.social that there is no legal way for a 21 year old man to “date” a 15 year old 8th grader. This was statutory rape, abuse and murder of a minor.

Some people just have different ideas of beach reading, ok?

Amazing that this is true and yet it is so hard to get rid of single family zoning. People are paying a premium for SFHs even though the market shows it’s not what is in highest demand.

Some people think about what flowers to plant in their yards, others dream up nasty flags they can hoist to taunt their neighbors. I choose:

The best part of walking and taking transit is then you get to stumble across little treasures you have never seen in ten years of working in a place

This beauty took me to the Cape over the weekend. It did run a little late, but it was a very comfortable ride.

Always fun when you read older books and find the vestiges of a time when automobiles were still rightly viewed as the dangerous, polluting devices they are…before we were all trained to accept the carnage. From “The House of Spirits” by Isabelle Allende. Later, a mother loses her head to a car.

Ok it was only 34 minutes, I got a nice spring morning bike ride and I got to call in this a-hole parked in the intersection with his bed in half the bike lane at a spot where I worry about getting creamed by a driver veering when they hit the gas at the green. Will the state police even bother? Hmm

Asked the customer service desk at @wholefoods.bsky.social in Melrose if this outdated bike rack by the trash was really the only place to park a bike. “Yes, we tried to put them elsewhere but they kept getting hit by cars.” “You mean drivers?” “Yeah.”

Hopped on the e-bike to #vote, but first took a detour to confirm the location of a smashed pedestrian crossing sign I had just sent to Jonathan Stalls- and on the way back, came across this scene on Fellsway East. 25 mph speed limit.

During my cleaning spree yesterday, I decided to put the radio collecting dust on my husband’s bedside table back in the kitchen next to the Sonos. Feels like re-embracing old technologies might be the theme of this, the year of “enshittification .”

Highly recommend the quiet, 2nd Gen Rosenthal box air filters from Clean Air Kits. Check out the outgoing filter in mine next to the new one (that can also filter out viruses from my students)

Now do an article with this premise but for bike lanes and walkability and right-pricing parking, @bostonglobe.bsky.social

Cambridge stats this year after several years of all in on bike infrastructure are really amazing. Cambridge is proving taking space from cars saves lives and limb -and peace of mind

Looking forward to reading this- highly recommend that you include the voices of farmers who know the land and what it takes to feed people …before we start messing with our food system.
