I just probably wouldn’t sleep while it charged but I came into the e-bike life with high anxiety about lithium battery fires anyway

I might just charge it around you and see if any of those scuffs get hot or something, but I imagine it’s fine and I would just check with the company or bike shop when I got a chance, but not panic.

“Is donor money used to fund personal employee car parking in a city with transit in a climate crisis?” Seems like a good vetting question for donating $$$ to a cause

Recently a business community opponent of the Boylston bike lanes was quoted talking about the “92 parking spaces” that would be lost. We are talking about a street full of luxury shops and restaurants. Thousands of transactions up and down that street all day.

I am not a royal person, but season 1 covered some interesting historical events, which is what sucked me in - the London smog event was a good episode and made it very clear how awful the whole thing was, esp for the most vulnerable residents.

Four months ago, the Economist thought the country was being run pretty well.

Isn't it interesting that they're trying to frame themselves as initiating *that* war instead of the Civil War? Wannabe Confederates still don't like being called what they are. Probably because it reminds them they lost the first time.

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).
