i dont think they'll go double california (or double woman) for the ticket. what the dems need as vp is a recognized and well regarded white stateman.. someone like... joe biden
from what i saw, it was the post-bernie chapo crowd leading the charge with hyping up kamala and her coconut tree anecdote. very bad mentality to immediately stir up animosity against the rare good thing to happen in politics.
i know the pundits wont ever admit it, but i believe the persistent unpopularity of his handling of israel/gaza is what dragged biden low enough to withdraw his candidacy.
wow i was worried about the biden campaign, but his strategy of pausing all messaging and retooling it to attack the left as equivalent to political assassins should really turn things around.
Biden has the worst approval of an incumbent for reelection since Jimmy Carter. He polls behind every battleground dem on the state level. He's spending 17mil in PA to be down by 4% to 7%. And far from being a turning point, the debate sunk his polling by -2% with no plan to fix things.
biden's wh is just a petty and vindictive crisis/comms team, ineffective vs. trump but more than capable of cowing the party into his campaign suicide-pact
There is a 7 foot tall guy behind Rishi Sunak who likely ran for office just to be able to hold a printed out L behind him during his concession speech.
i think labour kinda sucks, starmer especially so, but its probably very fun to see the torys you've learned to hate all lose their jobs. ok thats my uk politics take pe@ce
white house team announces biden will remain the nominee but they are giving up on campaigning and will keep the president in cryostasis until after november
