it's been long enough for me to admit publicly that when i left Gizmodo in 2022 I changed my Slack username to "S1ackbot" and the G/O Media failed to detect or delete it for months

This is all true but if we're being serious here with licensing tips uhhh well you can't actually re-release a minor edit of a corporate logo under any of these licenses since you don't have the copyright!
