Excuse or necessity? They're both equally true and horrifying. We're not ready for the Social Existential Crisis of watching people we know and love starve in real time on InstaTok. Nevermind the lack of shut-down protocols when vital infrastructure irrevocably floods and fails.
Absolutely agree! But I imagine excuse will come a little before necessity. Planning now would alleviate the necessity somewhat. I'm holding my breath watching what Boston will do for our growing immigrant population. (also helping an NGO, but they can't do much.)
What is more disruptive? A climate protestor who temporarily interrupts a game, or a climate induced flood that destroys the stadium?
