Consumer Reports recently ranked Tesla 27th out of 28 automakers in terms of reliability.

Don't get me wrong, I've got no particular love for the others--but the others seem on the level of "normal if poorly made car"; the Temu DeLorean seems to be in its own special category

THIS poorly? Maybe not. But they do have a reputation for randomly bricking themselves and/or setting themselves on fire.

I have a buddy who bought a Tesla a few years ago. He would have it for a week before some gremlin required it to be brought to the dealer to fix something for 2 to 3 weeks. This happened on repeat for 3 months before it apparently finally all worked correctly.

Yeah, I know a couple people who have Teslas and they have functional cars...? I haven't really grilled them about their experiences but afaict it's at least not substantially worse than others. I don't know any cybertrukk owners tho, and I can't imagine a recall every less than two months

Good friend has an older Tesla, she loves it and it’s behaved well. (Less Elon involvement, probably)
