Want to mask but lack resources? Look up a local covid action group. They provide free masks, often including sampler packs to help you find the n95-type mask for your specific needs! Size, shape, hair texture, sensory needs, etc matter. So does normalizing masking to resist bans. Mask in public.

A friend of mine was saying they felt they should not be getting help from their parents. Aside from just plain accepting help from people who love you, the previous generations mortgaged the future through financial manipulation so the trickle of help you might get is less than you ought. Imo.

Casual reminder that "summer flu" isn't a thing; you probably have covid. Sometimes it takes a few days for the tests to catch it. Paxlovid and metformin have proven efficacy to reduce symptoms and risk of long covid, respectively. Wearing an n95 or equivalent is an act of care.

The Cass team and leadership like Victoria Atkins have done nothing to draw attention to these, and have downplayed the risks of losing access to care— all while international experts have been steadfast about the dangers of lost access.
