It’s an ironically closed minded position for people who claim to value intelligence.
And same, some of the most knowledgeable people I know have had very little formal education.
If I’m not wrong, speed metal’s a genre all of its own. I missed thrash in the 80s/90s, but I’ve come around to it in a big way in the last 10 years or so
Someone gave us some when we were living down there & I remember being unimpressed with the flavour, although I put it down at the time to them not being prepared properly. Perhaps that wasn’t the case.
It’s funny (not funny) really. I’m biased, admittedly, as someone with no tertiary education, but I find it interesting how some people see it as the be all & end all of intelligence/experience.
