Yesterday I realized that if Apple released a flip phone that performed only the barest necessary functions of my iPhone (maps, texts, calls, camera, maybe MAYBE my lil plant identification app) I would have bought it immediately. Instead they did this

Curious about this. Have seen this several times now. Citibikes seemingly off the grid, but chained up for later use. Anyone know what is going on here? If you don’t return a bike the hourly rates are nuts.
