it’s 2024. this is embarrassing
IMO this is a straight-up ageist and ableist image, no?

it’s the first week of disability pride month! not okay

Not to mention untrue. Has anyone seen Biden using a walker? When he came out on the debate stage?

he is certainly more mobile than i am

Hey, the other guy uses a golf cart to pitifully trail after world leaders who can walk more quickly than he can waddle. Both sides!

To be clear I don't think we should be mocking anyone who uses a mobility aid! But yes, it's wild that ONLY Biden gets this knock.

Why FDR had to minimize his disability while president. We haven't moved much.

Trump is the one who can’t/won’t walk more than a few hundred feet, if that.

I'm a quarter century younger than Biden, and I was using one of those just 6 weeks ago!

Excuse me, I have a Franklin D. Roosevelt on the line, and he sounds kind of upset.

Depicting child rape is too much for the front cover. Once again Trump gets a free pass because of how over the top gross he is.

This cover is a giant middle finger to older and disabled people. I don't think Joe is as good at being clever and quick under pressure anymore. I would guess for the important parts of the job he still functions fine. My gut says it's mostly optics. The Economist can eat my whole asshole.
Fucking FDR got elected to four terms and did quite well but hey the chattering class is bored/needs clicks.

It's absolutely insulting and revolting, both to Joe Biden and to disabled people.

One incident and his running the country record is shot, as opposed to the guy who drew on a hurricane map with a Sharpie because he knew more than the meteorologists.

Well, thanks that the Economist informs us that it thinks fascism is, in fact, a way to run a country. Not that those of us who were paying attention didn’t know (and I used to be a subscriber before they became the print version of a collection of blogs written by recent MBA grads).

This is way out of line.
