I was secretary for Police Squad! production. Little known trivia: John Belushi did a "special guest" joke appearance - found dead in pool before credits. Then he died. It was taken out before broadcast (forget who replaced him). That clip somewhere in Paramount vaults.
William Conrad was the replacement, I think.
He (a stunt double) gets thrown from a speeding car, then the real Conrad rolls over and dies
In that genre? Yes. But it’s hard to put Police Squad! and The Prisoner in the same category.

I filled a single VHS tape with the full runs of Police Squad! and Fawlty Towers back in the day. It was the video equivalent of the killing joke.
