Regarding Microsoft's (increasing) local surveillance, a new feature - thought slightly limited - requires taking screenshots of your desktop activity every ten seconds to help with their local AI tools for "productivity". This is a novel vector of abuse.

Updates: the LinkedIn conversation on Calmara, the poorly-designed malpractice/privacy nightmare STI app, continues, with the founder getting very defensive. Meanwhile, it identified my thumb, an avocado skin, & an overripe peeled banana as "clear" but is worried that my toe might have an STI.
This app, by the way, did accept a photo of a German sausage and a vegan sausage and suggest that both might have STIs.

Enjoying this hilarious breakdown of the AI-generated Wonka event mess.
The AI-generated "script" the actors were given for the Glasgow Wonka event is.. something. Aside from featuring staging and effects that would be impressive for a moderately-sized West End spectacular, its stage directions also dictate, in detail, precisely how delighted the audience will be.

Still trying to find a way to curate my feeds. I'm not getting either traction or an easy way to find folks engaging deeply with tech questions here like I do on X. I am seeing more AI art bots than good convo on the AI/ML feed? Help?
