I’ve learned from working w veterans that, for those who have been in combat, esp those who have suffered greatly, it’s a tremendous insult to claim recognition for service that was not given. There is honor in non-combat service, and it’s recognized in its own way, but this is pretty shameful

Stolen valor is a deeply personal insult to many who have made great sacrifices

Yeah. CA while Special Operations isn’t SF and doesn’t get a CIB even if they serve under an SF Unit. Why I got a Cock And Balls (look up the CAB - really does look like it) when I was PsyOp attached to a Marine Special Operations Team under 3rd Group’s (SF) command. NBD as I already had a CIB.

Also. As a former Infantryman I have to nitpick that the CAB goes to all non-Infantry or SF. I will not stand for the disrespect of my Medic brothers. The Combat Medics Badge is as prestigious as the CIB!
