Senator who last week promoted a tweet that called his legislative opponents traitors punishable by death now asks “to take the political temperature down.”
These people, who supported trump through Jan 6th, rape convictions, family separation, Access Hollywood tape, etc etc would like you to believe they are now serious in calling for political decorum & unity. Meanwhile, on the other channel they're calling for the eradication of American "unhumans."
They have no intention of taking the temperature down. They’ve already been blaming Biden for it. Trump stating “They’re not after me, they’re after you.”
Give me a fucking break!
And drop the charges for HIS participation in this incitement to violence among other betrayals of his country? It's clearly an attempt to squeeze all the opportunity they can out of this. I wonder if Trump's smart enough to see that and see beyond a possible personal benefit. (I'm joking, ofc)
Every office holder or candidate for office who has promoted violence rhetoric should exit politics. That one step would go a long way toward bringing the temperature down.
What’s the rationale between someone shooting at someone and someone else calling for all government agencies dropping all charges in all cases against the guy who got shot at?
Calls for political moderation are political manipulation, as are appeals to political extremism. If he wants to entertain serious policy discussions, nothing is stopping him.
