OK but if Warner is worried about Biden losing (or Trump winning), where’s he been? He’s been more vocal about the threat of Tik Tok than the threat of Trump. He’s willing to go to the extraordinary measure of pushing out the Dem candidate last minute, but court expansion was too drastic for him.
I'm not going to trust one of the richest senators who ended the nomination of one of Biden's best picks because she was too mean to big banks and crypto.
Our Republic is not dying, she is being killed.
And the people doing the killing have media sinecures and Congressional offices.

Or is that Warner is a very rich Senator and he's getting calls from very rich donors who are getting calls from the New York Times billionaire correspondent Teddy Schleifer and that's why they are all freaking out?
And to be clear it’s not just him. Almost every single pundit and Dem donor/pol who is in freak out mode has been awfully milquetoast about the rise of fascism from Trump and the GOP except in the context of attacking Biden.
In (presumably) the one file photo WaPo could scrounge up for their story today with both BIden and Warner in it, Warner is standing next to Sinema, Manchin, and Susan Collins.
