It’s muggy and hot and still and I’m still so tired from staying up late with friends but I’m also still walking to the pier because that’s what I do and it is good for me in too many ways to skip it.

Me today, after a frustrating week visiting my folks: family may be complicated, but at least i have Dropout

Smartypants has hit my top 4 dropout shows already (but it's unsurprising 'cause I'm TED Talk and YouTube video essay nerd, and it so perfectly scratches that itch).
Working on an embroidered dress with my partner. She's doing the embroidering but I'm mapping out the pattern in photoshop to fit it to the dress and attempting to print it out so she can use it. It's a learning process for both of us lol
Sitting inside to beat the heat, just spent a few hours with my sister and her family, which was a treat.
She was very excited to meat our cat but then for a bit bashful when she discovered that he’s about the same size as she is
Plus it’s the first time my sister has seen our new house, and giving her and my BiL the tour was fun - their aesthetic loves and ours synch up really well

Plus my BiL’s sister was with them and cracked up when she saw we had the N64 out because apparentlyy BiL had just gotten his out and set it up again.
gf's making hot dogs and beans for dinner, and we got some supplies ahead of the storms that are gonna hit tonight and tomorrow. Otherwise just chilling and trying to enjoy our day.
I say 'hot dogs' but really they're sausages - hers have jalapenos and mine are cheese filled. But still meat log in a bun covered in condiments, it's a hot dog XD
Thanks. We're ~4 hours inland from the coast but that hurricane is wreaking havoc and we also hope we're not gonna see much of it.
