“They want to eliminate national parks” is a very simple way to get just about anyone on the Stop Project 2025 train. Are there much more glaring and life-threatening goals of P25? Yes but even your most bigoted cousin does not want to see the parks system sold for parts.

This!! Start with “they want to end no fault divorce, sell national parks, and ban porn” end with tax structure.

RIP Ed Stone, long-time leader of the Voyager mission. I learned so much from him during the Neptune encounter: both how to maximize science and how to share science with the world. He was also a genuinely nice person. Sincere condolences to Ed's family and close friends.

On every Memorial Day I raise a glass to the memory of my uncle, T5 Edmund J. Peters Jr. An 11th Airborne Div trooper, he was KIA during the assault on Fort McKinley, 17 Feb 1945. He rests at the Manila Cemetery so beautifully maintained by the Amer Battlefield Monuments Commission. He was 21.

According to the people who work at the Grant Cottage Historical Site on Mount McGregor, NY (the place where Grant spent his last weeks writing his memoirs and then died), Grant was mostly fine with this change for the most "boy" reason imaginable: he was never keen that his initials spelled "HUG".

Remember when USN dropped an F-14 with AIM-54 over the side and had to spin up lotsa assets to recover and preserve all the secretness? Said assets included the NR-1 which I was involved with at the time. Very interesting mission.
