frame from a non musical movie with a great soundtrack

I adore old made-for-TV murder mysteries and this satire of the 70's staple is pitch perfect. Plus more movies need odd interludes/breaks à la the Werewolf Break in The Beast Must Die. Bonus points for including a recipe card for the chili interlude.

Waiting for the fam to wake up so I can throw the same damn masterpiece I play every Saturday morning of BlobFest. It really sets the perfect mood before hitting the town for some retro sci-fi shenanigans.

This week is Sweaty Horror in the #OhMyHorror Movie Challenge and I think I need to change it up. I went with The Untold Story hoping I would get Ebola Syndrome levels of sweaty Anthony Wong. Yes, it's gross and full of lots of nasty fluids but not a ton of sweat. This man is as cool as a cucumber.

It's Martial Arts Mondays so before I get to Root Down Brewing for some kung fu flicks and a pint, I'll be keeping the kickass vibes going strong. 1st up, 1994's Guardian Angel, a formulaic Cynthia Rothrock vehicle that is absolutely highjacked by Lydie Denier's gleefully over the top performance.

Second and final movie is one I never thought I'd see beyond a shitty VHS. Let's goooooo

Yup! Not too long ago too although I wish it came with more special features.

Having the first outdoor movie screening of the summer and I couldn't be happier to introduce some friends and family to Johnny Mnemonic in black and white.

Oh hells yes. I just realized this Friday's 35mm screening of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is also being done in 3-D, courtesy of Exhumed Films. Their 3-D triple feature (Friday the 13th Pt 3, Jaws 3-D, and Amityville 3-D) made a true believer.
