Privatization has never made anything better. It's all about taking something that should be provided by the government or a community and giving control to the worst people in the world so they can force profits on things people must have to live in the modern world.

It's because they want to privatize weather. They tried doing it under his last administration but many people didn't really notice beyond the weird hurricane drawing he did. It's also why they cut (or at least tried to it's been a minute since I read that stuff) a bunch of NASA Earth's funding too

Still no electricity, inside of house is completely unusable while outside is not a whole lot better. Fuck oncor

Still no power and house is getting too warm for comfort we'll before noon, but at least I got the hammock, the birds singing, and a nice wooded view.

Can't sleep, no ac and house is warming up but very rural so opening a window just results in max volume screaming tree creatures.

Texas power grid status: Still shit

Rode my bike around the neighborhood to check for beryl damage about 6 hours ago and nothing too bad. Since the power was out decided to go into town and get dinner, like all the streets in and out of the neighborhood are now blocked by downed trees or lines. Guessing power is gonna be out a while

Hurricane is no excuse for not throwing the ball.

Hurricane nuked power and I'm not even close to gulf. Winds still strong enough deep inland that some big branches are coming down.
