i wonder if biden having a closet full of identical suits arranged by day to minimize the cognitive load he felt he had to contend with would kick off another round of biden old and unfit discourse
Obama kinda famously kept a pretty regular 9 to 5ish schedule and was known to get upset when it was disrupted by staff.

anyway, staying up past midnight to post about cable news is a much healthier habit for someone who spends 14 hours a day sitting in high stress meetings having to make hard decisions because all the easy choices get made before the meeting happens, i’m sure
He can just sleep through those meetings, like he slept through his court case.

1/ I know people are crazy, but if you expect the President to be ready promptly at 9 am every day and it takes an hour to prepare (8 am wake-up time), midnight is bedtime. If you think it's a 7 am job, it's a 10 pm bedtime. No events after 8 isn't unreasonable in light of the latter.

Eventually we are gonna get a neurodivergent president and the media is going to immolate. Unscheduled 3am press conferences and regularly scheduled engagements, regularly cancelled.

2-FINAL/ If you acknowledge the presidency has crises and differing timezones and you might get woken up in the middle of the night, have lots of international travel, you might bump that back to 9 to be safe.

The below is a helpful reminder that the political press is never satisfied with the head of state. Obama had a family and enjoyed family time. Press: Sorry, that's not ok. Biden had a German shepherd. Sorry, that's not ok. Reagan had horses in California. But that's ok. bsky.app/profile/nemo...

Yeah the measures to combat decision fatigue would look pretty different. Might have good optics if Joe ate 12 almonds every afternoon though.
