Speaking just for me, a UX designer, the last thing I want to talk about outside of work is, well…work! Balance is EVERYTHING. I am this podcast's demographic. Good show, @guysegal.bsky.social

When I launched the Design Downtime podcast, my intention was to show designers (and people in product design) that you can be a successful design professional without being all about design and work 24/7. Each episode is a chat about a hobby or interest, and it’s my reaction to hustle culture.

Two weeks ago I wrapped up season one, spanning 16 episodes. I’ve been extremely lucky to have wonderful guests who were excited to share their passions, many of them opening up to a complete stranger. A huge thank you goes to Raquel Breternitz who created the wonderful cover art!

I’m taking the summer off, but will be back with season two in the fall. I already have some incredible guests lined up, and can’t wait to share their stories with you all!
