even trump’s campaign staff (i assume he didn’t write this) knows that the reactionary, authoritarian agenda that’s project 2025 is going to be unpopular with the average voter.
the post is way too focused and well-written for trump to have written this. we all know his writing style at this point, a thing i cannot say about literally any other living politician.
Where are the words in all-caps? Where are the misspelled words? Where are the unidentifiable words? Where are the sentence fragments. Where are the incoherent phrases
I totally believe that he doesn't really know anything about Project 2025.
I also totally believe that he'll appoint a bunch of people who want to implement every part of it to major positions, so it won't matter.
The only downside (at least for the GOP) is that he's too much of a narcissist to just do what they tell him to.
He bypassed party leadership to appeal to their base, and now he's got the entire party by the short hairs.
That doesn’t matter to the GOP or to him. This goes back to the idea that either Trump or the GOP has a moral compass. They don’t have any values. They lie without shame. Their only goal is power and money. Their ‘policies’ have always contradicted themselves. That’s part of the game for them.
They don’t care if it’s unpopular. They are on a crusade to “save” America, by violence if they have to, and being in the minority does not matter to them.
no upper caps - there have been a few recently: minders definitely taking over; but why? A comparative discourse analysis of posts in recent weeks compared to a few months ago would be revealing, I think
He “knows nothing” about #Project2025 in the same way he didn’t know who Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett were in 2016.
It may not be his idea, but ultimately, when it comes down to enacting the plan, he’ll do it wholeheartedly.
I know damn well he didn't write it. No weird random capitalizations, no block caps, and no general air of something written by a struggling 2nd grader.
