I want Biden and all his surrogates out there talking about this. Telling voters "The GOP lied to you about an army of IRS jackboots coming for you because they knew rich people were cheating the government and they wanted to keep it that way."
The IRS reported Wednesday that it has collected $1 billion in taxes and penalties owed by hundreds of wealthy households who accumulated past-due tax debts for years while IRS enforcement dwindled.
IRS reports collecting $1 billion from rich households’ back taxeswapo.st For years, the tax agency simply didn’t try collecting sizable debts owed by 1,600 filers with annual incomes of at least $1 million.

Years before this ruling, that was the defense trotted out by the Calm Down types: they didn’t do it! Too many people said no, I won’t commit crimes for you, Trump. They fail to realize there were multiple who were willing! If he’s reelected how many Jeff Clark’s do you wanna risk him appointing
I don't understand this point. Trump can just pardon them.
There's been a lot of talk about how the President can know order an assassination on a political rival, or anybody for that matter, with no legal consequence. And I think people have a hard time wrapping their head around something so seemingly extreme. 1/3

A few years ago, Jon Lovett floated a theory that media treats Democrats like protagonists - to be challenged, accounted, and forced to be behave in growth-oriented ways - while the GOP are treated like antagonists - immutable, expected to disrupt, thematic obstacles. Thinking about that a lot.
I don’t recall the NYT calling for Trump to step down after being convicted of 34 counts of fraud and being called by a judge at his civil trial a rapist in the common person sense
I received this unsolicited piece of propaganda in the mail today. Apparently, Remnant Publications feels that mass mailing Biblical fan fic to millions of people who have no interest in reading it is a better use of donations than, say, feeding the hungry or clothing the naked.

The timeline right now looks like an Ewok party after the Death Star exploded
Samuel and Martha-Ann Alito present: Fun with Flags
The Alitos' defense seems to be it was a heat of the moment, "Call me an insurrectionist? I'll show you an what an insurrectionist looks like" knee-jerk reaction. But that still runs into @kenwhite.bsky.social's rule of goats.

“I can’t do smart things, because I am not actually smart. But I ache to be smarter than everyone. So I believe in weird, stupid things, and spin it as being more brave, more smart, more perceptive than the people who don’t believe in weird stupid things.”

Hello BlueSky. As a public service, given how many, many things have been forgotten, this account will attempt to remind everyone of the daily madness that was 2020.

For real, the Biden campaign should create "this day during a Trump admin" and just pull an insane thing he did during any of the 4 years, not just covid. He was so chaotic you are guaranteed to have something for everyday.
Trump publicly saying he'd support Russia over NATO allies feels like a boiling frog moment. When this was first reported at the time, his supporters pushed back because the sources were anonymous or not trustworthy. Now he's bragging about it, and his supporters are cheering him for it.
End of feed.
