If it's a crime to be homeless then paying an hourly wage that is insufficient to pay for housing means you're an accessory at a minimum

At my partners interview for his current job, meat counter in a grocery store, his bosses said “in order to rent an apartment in this town, two people need to both be making $20+ full time. Anyway we’re going to pay you $16”

the real true crime is not loving our bosses sufficiently. a mother merely carries and gives birth over a trivial 9 months or so. a mother may possibly even produce milk. but a boss, however, generates gifts directly from god: jobs.
