God, TLJ's red-and-white-dominated color palette is so good. Just such a striking use of color, upending the expectations (black vs white) from the original trilogy, and tying it visually to the Dark Side's red lightsaber. Cuts of red on Crait, like an entire planet wounded by conflict.

God, I love how Johnson inverted the meaning of RETURN OF THE JEDI in the throne room sequence. The Empire was undone through the thing the Emperor could not plan for: A moment of empathy. A shadowy manipulator undone because he didn't believe feelings might matter.

Laura Dern fits in so flawlessly with the Star Wars aesthetic, it's incredible. It feels like she should have been part of the series forever.

One thing Rian Johnson understands that JJ Abrams is incapable of understanding is that STAR WARS (and stories generally!) is about something. There are themes. Ideas. This is anathema to how Abrams thinks about film and television.

Rewatching THE LAST JEDI for the first time in awhile, and something that got lost because of conservative chuds irradiating the space is just how much this movie killed in theaters. Audible gasps, active applause -- this movie fucking HIT in theaters.

I hope the liberals feel good about promoting poverty porn from that smarmy dipshit now.

These messages are so annoying. In an interview at the shooting site, someone said the shooting occurred because "everyone keeps saying he's a fascist!" But he is literally a fascist. Like an actual, verifiable fascist. He tried to overthrow the government. It's not rhetoric--it's truth.
