This is one thing I don't get! Trump rambles so much that it is taken for granted that he's often talking nonsense. The other striking thing is how often the press cleans up his quotes.
"experts were flummoxed" ... except the ones possessing even a passing familiarity with Donald Trump. Those experts completely expected a comment like that.
Oh this is Trump being the funny uncle. No one takes him seriously. Now Biden. He had a raspy voice and stumbled over his words. That means he’s is a danger to the nation and must step aside.
I know everyone knows this, but these aren’t truth claims. They’re closer to beat poetry, meant to evoke feelings of “radical environmentalists want to ruin your way of life”.
