Friendly reminder. When in office, Trump took more time off then any other President, had "TV Time" on his daily schedule, and rarely got into the office before 10.

Post debate polls show a small dip in the Biden numbers. That's the narrative. Post debate, like the next 24 hours, the Biden campaign raised like 38 million dollars. Those two things tell two different stories. Polls are a snapshot in time, as they say. Dollars mean more.

Trump and his lawyers are going to delay everything for as long as possible and then argue that they didn't get a fair and speedy trial.

I appreciate that they staggered this down, but that's not the best way to do it.

If the idea that Presidents have immunity from official acts makes you as uncomfortable as it does me, you can thank Trump for not only bringing the question up, but also for picking the people that would decide the answer.

Today I'm watching the remake of 12 Angry Men for the first time. Now the original? That's a flawless movie. Absolutely flawless. This one? It's pretty damned close to flawless.

It occurred to me while I was just doing the dishes that, what I have been stoned, I've never been stoned just like jelly roll.

The Chevron case the Supreme Court just decided came down like this. "We can't have unelected bureaucrats who are experts in their field making these decisions about regulations. Instead we need to have unelected judges who aren't expertes in these fields making these regulatory decisions."

So the whole idea here was three separate but equal branches of government. When was the last time you can remember it being like that?

I never really thought about Martin Mull, but I was always happy when something I was watching had him in it. Seemed like a genuinely decent dude and funny as hell to boot. Plus Fernwood 2 Night was genius.

Get up, wash the barf out of your hair, and brush your fucking teeth, we've got Democracy to save.

For all the "moderating" that @cnn.com did last right, I think we found the one job we can trust AI to do. Ask questions, don't follow up, never push back when the answer is false. I could have sat there and read questions for 90 minutes. Moderators should, ya know, moderate.

So we know it didn't go well for Biden last night. He struggled for about 70 or the 90 minutes. He looked old and tired. He didn't speak well. Trump was, surprisingly, rather collected. But damned near everything he said was a lie. Sadly, that's not gonna matter to a lot of people.

75% of the questions Trump were asked tonight were the same question he didn't answer immediately before.

Props to Trump. He figured out that we've already had two world wars. That's a big accomplishment for him.

Trump took physical exams from a doctor whose name he couldn't remember. The same doctor that, at the white house, gave our meds like they were halloween candy.

So did Trump take the drug test?
