Maybe I’m wrong but it feels like the Biden old thing doesn’t exactly convey Trump is 78 and can’t speak a complete sentence. The media playbook would hit better if Biden’s opponent was DeSantis but they never adjusted.

Also since nyt editorial choices are a thing today, I’d just note that the editorial board criticized the scotus immunity decision but you have to dig through like five layers to find it. Curious that they blast out the Biden old yet bury the court case.

Since I got a new phone, I’m getting Apple News for free. They seem to get the moment better than the NYT. Also, if you think the Times’s opinion writers are mostly bad, you should see the shit the WSJ is pumping out.

Well, that was unexpected. Despair, averted. At least for now. #brexit

Flipping through the @washingtonpost.com on the kindle. See Dan Balz’s front page “Can Biden set things right” article. Balz writes, “could be the most single watched event of the 2024 campaign.” Could is bearing a heavy load when on A7, there’s a story that says the ratings were the lowest ever.

Don’t like the court? Think of how it will be if Trump wins and he picks two, probably three, of the justices In a second term.

In good news/bad news, SCOTUS is about to rewrite the news cycle, so there’s that.

Brief debate takeaways: No one is going to think Biden was on PEDs Biden’s performance is going to spark the greatest Dems in Disarray©️in history. Biden wasn’t good, Trump was bad CNN/Tapper/Bash were worse Only sickos watched. What matters is how the clips get packaged for local news.

We went to the new Korean fried chicken place then Trader Joe’s, so truly a hellscape out there. Also, watching delayed and now at the commercial break.
Is our country destroyed? It doesn’t feel destroyed.

Now at the morals of an alley cat line and the Biden of now is remarkably better then the beginning but I really wish he had a cough drop or a drink of water or something.
I’m a little late to start watching. So Dana Bash is telling Biden to shut up and Trump is allowed to ramble and rant. Also, I was under the impression that CNN was empowered to correct lies. But Democrat states can put babies down after birth, Trump says and that’s fine?

But the media is interested when it is Bad News for Biden©️as this AP story suggests solar panels are really just Democratic corruption in the billions. It doesn’t get the attention but no news org is more committed to Trump winning then AP apnews.com/article/bide...
The media isn't interested in the biggest technology story of the 2020s, the rapid transition to clean energy, because 1) it will destroy a bunch of oil based wealth and is a boring, competirive low margin business 2) it makes Democrats look good for helping it and they want Republicans to win
A signature Biden law aimed to boost renewable energy. It also helped a solar company reap billionsapnews.com One of President Joe Biden’s signature laws aimed to invigorate renewable energy manufacturing in the U.S.

This feels like one of those three year letterman / my travel ball players all take creatine posts where someone is just being an ass, it gets picked up as sincere then goes viral.
Thrilled to know we got water in the woke wars.

I thought, probably incorrectly, that the in universe explanation was that the clones were beginning to degrade as they weee faulty, not the blasters.
Had never considered that stormtrooper inaccuracy might be because of faulty imperial equipment. Would dovetail nicely with Lucas's Vietnam metaphor and the troubled history of the M-16 there

This is some terrific work. Worth a read.
So remember that whole Graceland Nigerian scammer thing? We tried to find who really did it. The investigation led me to a grandma and the door of a trailer in Branson, Missouri. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Who tried to steal Graceland?www.nbcnews.com A trail of clues left by Naussany Investments, the fake company that scammed Elvis Presley's family, led to a grandmother in Missouri.

Because I’m a weirdo, I do the surveys I get. Today, @washingtonpost.com sent me one on its graphics usage then Max sent one on how I felt about @cnn.com on its streaming service. Maybe instead of emailing randos hoping they respond, they should talk to their professionals staffs but that’s just me.

Birmingham Southern just had a walk off to win and keep the season alive for the now closed school. Sports, man.

I’ve had CNN on this morning and the Dems are losing ground on Trump being a felon. Every guest has been a Republican. Vance is on now, lying at every opportunity, analysts are partisan hacks like Scott Jennings. Where are the Dems? @brianbeutler.bsky.social is right and Dems need to be vocal.

Just noting that under Arkansas law, Trump is ineligible to run for public office as he can’t be on the ballot. So while he can run for president, he could t run for city council here.

i think it's fine that we have an insurrectionist Justice who lies relentlessly, without remorse or consequence, and is still constantly mad that he can't be openly meaner to people in Jesus's name without getting criticized by people who have no power over him at all

Below is the Buckminster Fuller ball in front of the billion dollar Alice Walton funded museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. The state’s governor is in Charlotte for nascar and currently doesn’t have plans to survey the damage. At least three are dead. Don’t worry though, Biden and FEMA are on it.

Man, I don’t even have an American flag. Let alone multiple insurrection flags. Outside of ordering them from Amazon, I wouldn’t know how to buy them either.

I feel like this is true for lots of people. I’m 54. Don’t have a PCP. Haven’t tried to get one. I’ve worked in healthcare. Covered it for a living. I’ve seen a doc maybe five times in the last 25 years. I know I need to get one sooner or later but the hassle seems not really worth it.
This is a nice confessional space, so I'll admit something and see if anyone has advice/shaming. I have never had a regular primary care physician. Not since getting my own job/insurance in 2006. I ring phone trees, find doctors with months-long waits, and give up. Repeat every six months.

Just screaming into the void here but buying theater tickets on Ticketmaster is a singularly unpleasant experience. The worst design for user experience I’ve ever seen. Just incredibly bad.
