I just counted home page stories. The Daily Caller has five anti-Biden and six pro-Trump stories. The New York Times has seven anti-Biden stories and three that give this style of both-sides treatment to Trump.
The Times really is sprinting off a cliff to satisfy their nepo-publisher’s vendetta.
Galaxy brain moves afoot
“In recent days, some company leaders and Democratic political operatives have called the chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, Jamie Dimon, according to someone with knowledge of the calls, to gauge his interest in replacing Mr. Biden”
I'll probably miss Wirecutter most of all
oddly I stopped reading much of their arts coverage a decade ago
lot of things I felt were slips that in hindsight were actually slides
I canceled the NYT in a rage 7 years ago and am never coming back. I can play Wordle without a subscription but if that ever changes, I'll just stop playing.
for a long time I would still look at the frontpage and see what stories they ran, but I can't in good conscience even give them those clicks anymore
they and the people working for them are dead to me henceforth
It's pretty disheartening to see the most influential news org push a narrative that, while important, is by no means the most important story right now.
A week after a poor performance, the top 4 stories on the NYT homepage is about Biden's mental facilities. Meanwhile democracy dies in the open.
There’s a reason why I focus my criticism, even when it’s about an unethical hack like Maggie Haberman, on the editors, because this is reflective of their choices and their demands. It’s a leadership failure.
