I don’t have the best manners but I truly don’t understand what goes through the mind of people who will leave an empty at their table when they go up for their next. I want to study y’all in a lab
I'd like to apply for a waiver - I feel like "taught high school for more than a decade" would cover enough similar ground.
And all my food service experience was non-customer-facing (bussing tables, making pizzas at Domino's, etc.)
bussing tables counts, food service is a multiplier b/c you get to see how restaurants really operate, what is under people's control vs. what isn't, how miserable it really is, how little people make, etc.
More people should spend more time digging holes. Here's a shovel. Go dig for a week and say some shit to me about ditch diggers. Digging holes fucking sucks.
Spent a year as an english ed major and on progress report day I realized teachers watch the first 45 minutes of a movie six times in a row. I still have no idea how Holes ends.
Paying for the good seats to see him last year was some of the best money I've ever spent. That's why he makes the big bucks and I'm shouting at strangers on the internet.
Even before that, send them to work in the fields along side farmworkers and watch how quickly the conditions for farmworkers improve and how any sense of entitlement evaporates
