Over on Instagram I liked a few posts from the makeup artist for Civil War (2024) and today I’m getting ads for Posh Spice’s makeup line

One of the most fascinating and engaging shows I’ve seen in a long time. Also note it has Cronenberg-level body horror, and even though it’s a cartoon sometimes that’s a *lot* to deal with.

The Other Happy Place

Lots of posts here about Civil War slamming it for "both-sideism" or for being "deliberately disinterested" in the politics. Being not about the causes of the conflict is different than being deliberately disinterested. Causes are political; effects are visceral. Civil War is about the effects.
