I love a silly fun romantic comedy! I love Emily Blunt! I love a dumb guy with a pure heart!

Saw it last night! It felt like a delightfully meta love note to the art of film-making, adjacent to what Tropic Thunder did, but less savage. But the definitional acknowledgement of how awesome and important the work of stunt performers is was nice too.

my partner's parents were here so we rented it (because I saw it in theaters and really enjoyed it) and they all liked it too

I keep getting it confused with "Free guy", which I hated, which makes the repeated "Oh it's quite good" very confusing to me.

My wife and I went to see it in the theater and it was a pleasant surprise, just a simple fun movie!

besides being a fun rom-com it includes a surprisingly non-awful representation of depression for pop entertainment

it brought me a lot of joy! that movie is out to have fun and I sure did

It's going to become a beloved classic that just didn't spark in the cinema. That's a good place for it, up with Shawshank, Iron Giant, and Super Mario Bros. The Move.
