Just finished Season 3 of the Bear and I’m disappointed Carmie didn’t stab Joel McHale 17 1 130
McHale needs an award for how much I want to stab his character whenever he's on screen. Pure primal rage at that guy. 1 29
He’s a friend of a friend and apparently a very lovely person and, it seems, an amazing actor 3 29
Heck yeah, that's good, because I've enjoyed everything I've ever seen him in. I shall continue to do so. 1 3
I’ve loved him since the first scene of Community. 5
He plays smarmy prick well. 1 2
But there's a twitchy assholeness he adds that elevates it from mere "smarmy prick" to "the worst person you ever had to deal with" 1
I feel like he just plays levels of Jeff Winger who was just a take on him as host of The Soup. Not complaining because I’m a fan.
So glad to hear because I have liked him since Talk Soup! But I do dislike his character in the Bear 1 2
He was a treasure on the soup 2
He did, with those ocean blue eyes. 10
I have a theory Chef Dave wasn't there in the final episode. It's all unprocessed trauma in Carmie's head still. 1 7
I had the same thought but I think that’s because I’m also watching the Boys 1 5
Wait how are you doing both simultaneously, that’s so stressful! 1 1
The power of being middle-aged is being wired by broadcast seasons that last for 6 months, so we watched a dozen shows at a time. 2
That would've required it to be anything other than a filler season. 5
It said “to be continued”, maybe it’s just 10 episodes of stabbing Joel McHale. 1
The embodiment of Fuck, Marry, Kill. A great character. 1
I wanted more out of that exchange too. Like at least punch him carmy! 1
Yeah, but when Richie got stabbed in the ass by Syd, I laughed my ass off. S1E7 1
That, sir, is a spoiler. An improbably remote spoiler, perhaps, but still... 1
But don’t you understand, he turned him into a great chef
Noooooooo spoilers bro - some of us are looking forward to the head exploding experience of a binging the series.....lol
There's a season 4 coming, hope springs eternal.
He really nailed the type of guy who knows the area he excels in isn’t remotely “masculine” so he makes up for it by out-pricking every stereotypical drill sergeant from every movie
I am so looking forward to season 4 to see Carmie's reckoning with the fact that he has become just like his nemesis.
That would’ve been so satisfying. I’d also have loved for Carmy to see how toxic he himself is. I like him but he badly needs therapy and to chill.
Good episode, crap ending.
