I don't think of myself as a vain person but I must accept that when it comes to caricature, by others or by myself, I'm a complete face whore. Here's me with my 3d printed selfie, based on my Schoolhouse Rock caricature.

Lar's rules for successful model painting. 1. Don't touch it. It's not dry yet. 2.... Lar, what did I just say? I don't care if you used a blow dryer. Don't..... DON'T TOUCH IT! .... Fine. I hope you have some of that other colour left to fix that. Okay... 2. FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! STOP TOUCHING IT!

Today's model painting is proceeding very nicely. I have a bad habit of using too much water with my acrylics. A drop of acrylic retarding medium makes the paint flow so much nicer. (FYI I'm using my Holbein tubes. nothing specific for model painting).

I discovered a new way to doubt my abilities tonight! Try painting a 3d fdm printed model that still has a few layer lines in spots ;) Things are going along well as you cut in an edge then suddenly the brush has a pressing engagement elsewhere :P Luckily for me I have low standards :)

Confirmed sighting of Halloween stuff at our local Michael’s. Apparently pink is part of this season’s Halloween palette. It certainly looks great for Summer ween. :)

Give to your community. Homelessness is going to be illegal, so give to orgs that help. Trans folks are in danger, so help those orgs. Give to food pantries. Give to youth programs, give to churches, give to arts programs. You can always help *someone*. And we are all gonna fucking need it.
