I see Johns Hopkins is desperately trying to rehab their image after the Maya Kowalski verdict. I mean, this is fantastic for med students, don’t get me wrong. But JH has its issues.

I have long believed that American elections should be no more than 8 weeks from start to finish, primaries included. Primary Day should be the same for everyone just like in the General Election. Nominating conventions are worthless and should be discarded. Mail-in voting should be universal.

Long elections waste immense amounts of money. they harass potential voters into apathy. They play into the horse-race, scandal-fed view of politics that feeds deeply unserious media coverage. They NOT INCIDENTALLY make it difficult/impossible for campaigns to deal with last-minute surprises.

Biden is a doddering old man who wants the best for the country. Trump is a malicious asshole who wants to destroy the country and watch it burn. These are your only two choices. Voting for Trump is never a solution, no matter how bad Biden looked in the debate.

My father is not a stupid man so when I suggest that he look into hiring a home health aid so he has some caregiving respite, his response of “I wouldn’t even know where to look to find someone like that around here” smells remarkably like 🐂💩.
