This is not even the first time I’ve had to buy dorky Charlotte airport stuff because I didn’t realize the AC would be on -40 degrees 🤣

It is a HOT MESS rn. The main terminal is still so cute though, windows and rocking chairs and the plane-mobile

One time I chugged my water at the Charlotte airport because the security guy said the line was only gonna take 15 min. When I tell you I was pouring sweat and praying to the sphincter gods…

I got here three hours early because recently security lines have been as long as 3-4 hours and of course it was like. No wait at all this time. Fortunately I love wandering around airports

That happened to me once when the airport first opened in the morning (there were 4 flights leaving within 10 minutes of each other, all international, all about 60 minutes after airport security opened so I was prepared for A NIGHTMARE).

Got through security in about 5 minutes, and of course nothing was open on the other side so I was cranky, tired, thirsty, and hungry all at once. lol.

My childhood experiences with CLT airport are why I'm always nervous and want to get to every flight like three hours ahead

And right now it's soooooo weird with the fake walls and hidden check in

My only experience with CLT is having layovers there and I like it because I can get Bojangles

wandering about the airport making stops at the local brewery spots is good time, looking forward to it next week
