Watching various California Dems celebrating a conservative Supreme Court decision rolling back the 8th amendment rights of homeless people like:

I think they genuinely believe that throwing homeless people's tents in the garbage will somehow solve the core homelessness problem? Cargo cult ass policy analysis.

the shitty big blue state governor score is now.... Newsom 1 - Hochul 1

And this guy is the presumptuous candidate in 2028? Like what are we fucking doing
Avatar
I would put a lot of money against him being anywhere close to the candidate (assuming we still have elections in 2028)

I'd take that bet. Anywhere close being say wins a primary?

Outside of CA dude has no shot

I don't like him either but I think you're vastly underestimating his chances.

It's like now I'm even more embarrassed to be a resident of CA.

[goose chasing a guy meme] What are the resources you're providing? Hey! What resources?!

Statements like these feel so dystopian to me. "We're going to tear down the encampments. We will respect human rights. Go California!"

Every time someone talks about "liberal bastions like CA or NY" my eyes roll out of my head and down the street

Yeah but remember that he should be the presidential nominee!

And where are they supposed to go after Newsom steals and destroys all their possessions?!
Avatar
Well that’s not what you say when Dem insiders and clout chasers say you’re gonna be the new Pres in 24 hours

Vowing to become the first person to legally vote multiple times against someone in a presidential primary because I hate his greasy used car salesman vibes having ass.

the ambiguity is "where should they go instead?" and the definition answer is "to hell"

the entire holding is that the Eighth Amendment is a postconviction standard and the Ninth Circuit applied it preconviction. i would love to hear a smart person explain why people shouldn't just sue over this under the 14th amendment again (apart from that the same justices will kill it, of course)
